The workers of the company 'Amanoor' organized, last Thursday and Friday, two protest rallies in front of the governorate of Tangier and before the labor inspectorate to denounce the dismissal of the secretary-general of the Union of workers of 'Amanoor', reporting to the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT).
The workers will organize a protest march tomorrow, in cars, which will leave from the headquarters of the UMT in Tangier to the company's headquarters where a sit-in will be held.
The workers call on the local authorities in Tangier to assume their responsibility and to apply the law in order to protect trade union freedoms. The workers of ‘Amanoor’ started an open strike in all the subsidiaries of the company after the dismissal of the general secretary of the Union.
The union issued a press release explaining that the administration dismissed the union official a few days after the signing of an agreement between the union and the administration.
