The company "SEWS CABIND MOROCCO" dismissed the members of the union office without the approval of the labor inspector. In this context, the Regional Union of Trade Unions of Casablanca and the Iron Trade Union, under the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), considered that this dismissal represents a serious violation of the right to organize guaranteed by the Constitution, the Labor code and international conventions ratified by Morocco.
The iron sector unions in Casablanca have called for the dismissed unionists to return to their jobs and boycotted the meeting, which was called by the regional director of the Ministry of Labor and Professional Integration in Mohammedia.
