The German government has implemented a new strategy to attract skilled foreign workers by offering German language training and awareness training.
In this context, the news agency ‘Reuters’ reported that the German Government’s Commissioner for Integration said, the day before yesterday Wednesday, that the government is seeking to promote integration before migration. Yesterday, the Ministerial Council approved part of the "national action plan for integration" which aims to make Germany an attractive country for skilled workers.
In a press release, the government explained that migrants interested in living in Germany must be made fully aware of the German way of life. In this context, the Commissioner for the German Government for Integration explained that the authorities want to prevent migrants from having false expectations regarding life in Germany.
The national action plan for integration brings together more than 300 active parties from the federal government, local governorates and social partners. The German government's Commissioner for Integration is responsible for coordinating the plan, which brings together around 75 organizations interested in migration.
The law on the attraction of skilled workers comes into force on March 1, 2020 and that it aims to attract non-European skilled workers.
Chancellor Angela Merkel said last month that Germany alone needs 250,000 workers in the craft sector alone.
