The head of the General Union for Electricity Workers in Jordan sent a reporter to various electricity companies demanding that they include electric workers to increase salaries approved by the government recently.
The Union Monitor for Jordan Workers page on Facebook stated that the union's correspondence included "based on royal directives to increase salaries of public sector employees due to the high cost of living and difficult economic conditions, and based on the Jordanian constitution in its sixth article, which states that Jordanians are equally indiscriminate in rights and duties, and that they differ In race, language or religion, and in view of the high rate of inflation, services and basic food commodities, which reflected negatively on all people of this beloved country with all its slides. "
The union called on the directors of companies to "obey the directives of His Majesty and his firm desire to stand with all Jordanians."
The union demanded an increase in the salaries of all the company's employees by a percentage of no less than 10% and not more than 15% of the salary in order to achieve justice for workers, especially those with low incomes.
