Morocco: Postal workers deprived of the overtime bonus

Employees of the local parcel office and the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (CNDP) in Rabat and members of the National Post Union, belonging to the Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT), wore the red armband, the day before yesterday Tuesday, to protest against their professional and social situation.

The protesters also issued a press release denouncing the overtime levy on strikers on November 19, explaining that it was a revenge against the workers.

Unionists have argued that the deprivation of the overtime bonus and that of distributors will only worsen social tensions within the Moroccan Post Office.

For its part, the online newspaper 'Hespress' revealed that the protesters called on office officials to cancel the premium suspensions and announced that meetings will be held throughout the week during which decisions will be taken to make facing the situation.
