Morocco: Strike in Moroccan ports

Port workers in Morocco launched a strike on January 1 and 2, at the invitation of the National Union of Employees of the Ministry of Fishing, which is under the banner of the Democratic Confederation of Labor.

The strike comes after the ministry refused to respond to the demands of workers in the sector, and its attempt to empty dialogue sessions from its social implications.

The National Syndicate blamed the escalation in the sectoral movement of the Ministry of Supervision, calling on it to open a serious dialogue, waving, in the event that officials follow the policy of escaping forward, to enter into a general strike in conjunction with the octopus hunting season.
