The municipal agents of Kouba, Algiers, organized, last Sunday, a protest rally in front of the seat of the municipality to contest the suspension of social services and the closure of the postal account of operations.
The protesters denounced the closure of the postal account regulating the operation relating to social services in connection with the bonuses usually granted to workers on occasions such as marriage, death and others.
In this context, the newspaper ‘Achourouk’ reported, citing union sources, that around 400 workers are affected by the closure of this account. The protesters also threatened to escalate their movement if the postal account is not returned.
