The Department of General Services in the emirate of Ras el Khaimah announced the reduction of working hours during the solar eclipse that occurred last Friday in order to preserve the citizens and the workers.
For his part, the director-general of the Department said that working hours were revised downward from the day before the eclipse, Thursday, provided that work resumes normally after the end of the event.
The authorities of the countries where the annular eclipse occurred have launched alerts to citizens so that they avoid staring at the sun during the eclipse in question.
