Last Sunday, students of the University of Kufa organized an artistic festival on the sit-in square (in front of the University headquarters) under the theme 'Enough with procrastination' in the presence of more than 6000 students.
The festival started with a minute of silence dedicated to the martyrs of the popular uprising followed by the singing of the national anthem. Poems on the fight against corruption and on the requests of Iraqi citizens were sung before the students said they intended to continue the movements until all the protesters' requests were fulfilled.
Nadjaf activists blocked the main road to the governorate after the ruling parties designated non-independent and incompetent figures for the post of prime minister.
