Egypt / Port Said: The security forces broke out of the Port Said investment sit-in and arrested 10 workers, including one working woman

On Monday, the Egyptian security forces assaulted workers in the investment factories sit in Port Said Governorate, where they broke up their sit-in in protest against the decision of the General Investment Authority to change the place of their entry to the factories from the main gate along the Mohamed Ali Street in the Arab neighborhood area and transfer them to the side and side gates in the Shark neighborhood. .

The workers of investment factories in Port Said governorate believe that changing their place of entry to the region will lead to a delay in registering attendance and signing discounts for them because of the time, especially in the winter season.

The security forces broke up the sit-in of the workers, who protested the closure of the main gates of the industrial area through the use of tear gas, water and heroes, and injuries were recorded among the workers, before they arrested 10 workers, including a worker.

The lawyer for the Commission for Rights and Freedoms said that the Public Prosecution released the 10 Port Said investment workers, including a woman, on the case of case No. 3044 of 2019, an administrative east of Port Said.

The UNHCR lawyer added that the workers were charged with gathering without a permit, in protest of the governor’s decision to close the entrance door overlooking the main street.
