Last Thursday, the Beirut bar association decided to charge 500 lawyers to visit all Lebanese prisons Sunday, December 22, 2019. It is also expected that the same lawyers prepare a list of prisoners without a lawyer and those who need their bail to be paid.
Recall that this decision is a first after the last elections of the Bar. These elections led to the formation of a new office recognized for its activism and integrity.
