The Egyptian Transport Minister has violently attacked unions in the sector by accusing them of blocking any development operation under the pretext of wanting to defend the rights of workers.
Local media reported that the ministry called for an end to union practices and overruns as a part of a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport.
In addition, the minister refused to grant benefits that could lead to losses to the companies.
