Social Security retirees have called for higher pensions like other public officials. In this context, the Jordanian Labor Observatory explained that pensioners have demanded the national increase proportional to inflation, health insurance without wage levy (including family members), long-term loans and the return of the 18% deducted from the basic salary.
Retirees also called for the early retirement pension (60 years) to be counted on the basis of annual inflation, to launch a consumer organization like the Military Retirees Foundation and interest-free loans or housing allowances.
