The National University of Education renewed its call for the release of all political detainees, especially Harak al-Rif ones, and to stop all follow-ups and call for uniting the ranks to achieve popular demands in democracy, freedom, dignity, social justice and de facto equality.
The university took part in a protest called by the families of the Harak al-Rif detainees on Wednesday (November 27th) in front of the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH) in Rabat.
The university issued a statement affirming its alignment with the just causes of the Moroccan people in order to build a state of rights, freedoms, dignity, justice, de facto equality and the right of their daughters and sons to public services, including the right to free, good and unified public education from the first to the highest.
The University also expressed its condemnation of the austerity policy in the social sectors, in the Finance Act 2020, in exchange for spending and wastefulness in the most security sectors (minors, the army, the interior, special accounts, parliament in his chambers …), and its refusal to use the savings of the members of the National Pension Fund to fictitious exit from a structural crisis Considering that the real approach to reform is to open a discussion about the public facility to preserve and develop it and adopt fair tax reform, especially the tax reduction on wages and the abolition of pensions and the enactment of the progressive tax on wealth, property and inheritance.
It renewed its call on the university's branches to contribute to the success of the upcoming protest stations (victims of the two regimes, November 28, professors contracted 3 and 4 December, certificate holders 2 to 7 December, guidance and planning 11 and 12 December). 7 January 2020, technicians 25 and 26 December 2019…).
At the end of its statement, the University affirmed its adherence to the common and common demands files of the increase in wages and pensions and the tax reduction on them and the implementation of the agreements of 19 and 26 April 2011, such as compensation for work in difficult areas since 2009 and the new degree, and support and support for the demands of the National Union of Higher Education Workers FNE-SNTES, And the demands of different educational groups.
