Officials of the Ministry of Economy and Finance organized Wednesday, November 27, 2019, a protest rally in front of the headquarters of the Ministry in Rabat where they called on the minister to preserve their dignity, to lift the injustice 'compensation' and to open a serious dialogue with the union representing them.
During their rally called by the National Democratic Union of Finance (under the Moroccan Labor Union), the protesters called on the ministry to develop a unified basic system for all its officials.
In this context, the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Union, Arbi Habchi, explained in a media statement that the protest rally was decided following the failure of the negotiating session with the officials of the Ministry who have made every effort to put an end to the tensions that arose during the national strike on 14 and 15 November.
Arbi Habchi called for the regulation of university graduates, a general increase in bonuses, the revision of the issue of supplementary retirement, the regulation of the situation of engineers, managers, technicians and administrative agents. He also called for the establishment of a fair compensation regime, the application of the agreement of 15 January 2019, the respect of trade union rights and the suspension of arbitrary transfers.
