Tunisia: Workers at the thrift factory protest

Dozens of workers at the thrift factory, located in Battan Industrial Zone, Kairouan governorate, blocked the national road number 3, which links the governorate with the south. Protesters blocked traffic in both directions by firing tires and throwing stones.

The protesters called for the resumption of operations of the plant, which has been closed for two years, and called on the customs services to allow the second-hand shop to resume its activities, in accordance with the minutes of the meeting held on October 28th.

The thrift factory employs about 500 workers.
