Officials of the Ministry of Finance observed, on 14 and 15 November, a labor strike to demand the improvement of their professional and social conditions.
The strike was decided by the National Democratic Union of Finance, under the Moroccan Union of Labor (UMT), which also called for the organization of a protest rally outside the headquarters of the ministry in Rabat for November 21.
In this context, the trade union party explained that the Ministry continues to ignore the requests of the civil servants and refuses to start a dialogue on the right to a unified basic regime which guarantees the dignity of the civil servants of the sector. The ministry also refuses to revisit the problems faced by engineers, managers, technicians, administrative officers, technicians and other departmental officials with respect to premiums and compensation issues.
The protesters have also called for the regulation of the situation of graduates, the file of applications for early retirement and the general increase in bonuses.
