Morocco: Energy workers denounce the dismantling plan for the sector

The Federation explained that the plan poses significant risks to rights and acquired workers from the National Electricity Board.

In the same context, the federal office denounced the authorities who excluded the social partner in the development of such a decisive plan for the restructuring of the sector. The Federation expressed its concern about the continued postponement of the debate on the social issue in the context of the Mezen file and noted that the same thing happened with the privatization of the distribution of electricity in Casablanca in favor of the Lidik company.

The National Federation of Energy Workers also rejected the draft convention presented by the administration for the management of the wage increase agreed in the sectoral negotiations. The Federation also called for the release of the financial envelope from 1 January 2020 without any deadline.
