The spokesman of the General Social Security Corporation, Moussa Sabhi, said that the heirs of the insured who dies outside the service and meets the legal criteria get the pension one month after filing their official application.
In a media statement, Sabhi called the heirs interested in filing the applications with the offices of the General Social Security Corporation in order to benefit from the pension.
The spokesman explained that the amended social security law, which came into force in October 2019, allows the heirs of the insured person who has a 10-year subscription and has subscribed to social security for at least five years before his death to get the pension after filed a claim on it.
The heirs, who have benefited from the death benefit, in case the subscriber meets the criteria, can also obtain the pension provided that they repay the amount mentioned by the law.
