The Minister of Education and Teaching, Walid Manai, said that the Scholarship Scheme (number 75 of 2010) concerning the children of ministry teachers in the official Jordanian universities prohibits the granting of scholarships for children of teachers married to foreigners.
This statement by the Minister comes as many components of civil society claim that the children of Jordanian women married to foreigners get more civil rights in order to guarantee them a dignified life and full equality with their fellow citizens.
