Protests in Lebanon continue for the seventh consecutive day as protesters continue to block the roads with a large presence of the Army. For their part, components of civil society have called for a general strike last Tuesday, for now the pressure on the authorities.
For its part, the Ministerial Council announced a series of new reforms and a 2020 budget but it has failed to appease the protesters who continued to demonstrate demanding the resignation of the government.
In Beirut and other cities in the country, the reforms announced by the Ministerial Council, qualified by 'radical' experts and including a cancellation of all new taxes and a reduction of the deficit to 0.6% of GDP, have not been achieved.
Banks, universities and schools are closed since last Monday following the events organized throughout the country.
