Local media reported that the fire at the Alexandria Paper Factory, located in the Karmus Industrial Zone, lasted about 15 hours from 14:00 until 05:00 am the day before yesterday, Monday.
The media reported that the fire reached all the parts of the factory whose surface is about 4000 square meters without any human damage.
Media reports said that the factory did not meet safety standards and had no fire suppression unit.
The damage assessment will be carried out at the end of the first investigations and the plant will be sanctioned for not having complied with safety standards.
