The situation of workers and employees of companies owned by businessmen, detained in the context of corruption investigations, continues to be more and more complicated.
Media reports have claimed that tens of thousands of workers have been deprived of their salaries for months after the freezing of bank accounts of their companies. This situation, which carries a lot of uncertainty for the future of workers, has compelled them to go out in sit-ins to alert the authorities and public opinion about their situation. This led to government promises to work on these companies for rescue. This was announced by the judiciary on Sunday (August 25th).
The problem is not only about discussing the management of these companies, whose assets and accounts have been frozen at least partly because of corruption investigations, but also about the resulting disaster magnitude, the workers condition and the production wheel.
These companies and other companies affected by this situation, as is the case of the Algerian-Spanish company 'Frétial', whose assets have been frozen due to the presence of Ali Haddad among the shareholders, will be unable to meet its obligations towards its suppliers and partners, who in turn have workers waiting for wages at the end of each month.
The same media reports explained that this difficult situation extends beyond the workers of these companies to include those who work in companies dealing with these firms, for example, the "Haddad" complex not only affects the 15 thousand workers directly employed, but includes tens of thousands of workers, who deal with him and who will certainly be at a loss.
