The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division – declared that 3 persons accused of trafficking in human beings were arrested , as part of its fight against the phenomenon of begging on the main intersections in Sidon city, after a fast follow-up of persons responsible for human trafficking and child labor in the city.
The Directorate said in a report that it arrested the so-called (A. H. H.) who was born in 1985, a Syrian citizen, and (H.H). He was born in 1995, also a Syrian and (B.A) Born in 1987, a Lebanese citizen for the crime of employing children for begging and trafficking in human beings.
The detainees were handed over, as well as a Mercedes vehicle used by them to transport the minors, to the old Sidon station, for legal action
against them, by the competent judicial authority.
