These protests were organized by the General Federation of Agriculture under the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) in the aftermath of the attack on the fishing control team of the Regional Commission for Agricultural Development in the governorate of Gabes, which led to severe injuries to two assistants from the Forestry Department.
For its part, the executive board of the Federation denounced, in a statement, the repeated aggressions against the agents of the ministry and especially against the forest agents and accused the regional authorities to be responsible for the escalation of these aggressions.
The Executive Office called on the line ministry to intervene to protect the officers and recalled the attack on a well drilling control team of the Gafsa Governorate Water Resources Department and the Fisheries Control Team. of the forest department of the governorate of Gabes.
