A meeting was held the day before yesterday in Ramallah, at the Ministry of Labor headquarters in the presence of the Minister of Labor, Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish, the Under Secretary Samer Salama, and the members of the Internal Committee for revising the Labor Legislation, together with a delegation from trade unions, namely the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions, the General Union of Palestinian Workers, the Union of Independent Trade Unions and the Union of New Trade Unions.
During the meeting, some technical notes and directions received to discuss the amendment of labor legislation, were discussed. This is for keeping in line with the steps taken by the Ministry of Labor in coordination with the International Labor Organization (ILO) within the second "Palestinian Decent Work Program", according to "Donia Al-Watan" website.
It should be noted that three previous workshops were organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO), with the presence of trade unions and employers in this regard.
Dialogues with various parties will be continued in order to reach a draft for a comprehensive national dialogue at a later date.
