Last Thursday, daily workers' committees threatened to hold a general strike open in all governorates and a sit-in in front of the headquarters of the government presidency in Tunis to protest the postponement of a meeting which was dedicated, initially, to study their case.
In a statement, the committees considered that this postponement means, for the daily workers, the end of the social truce. In this context, the committees called on the workers to start daily protests in the first place before organizing a day of national anger throughout the Republic on September 10, 2019, which will be followed by a national sit-in. Daily workers were also called to boycott the start of the school year.
