The newspaper 'Destour' reports, citing sources from the Ministry of Labor, that greater regulatory scrutiny of foreign labor will take place following the Eid holidays.
The newspaper noted that the number of foreign workers in Jordan is estimated at around one million workers, mostly Egyptians, who are active in different sectors. 'Destour' explains that there are about 670,000 irregular foreign workers who are initially recruited into the agricultural sector before leaving for big cities to work in other sectors.
