Egypt / Gharbia Governorate: About 2000 workers at the drinking water company are deprived of being appointed as permanent workers

A worker of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Al Gharbia affirmed to "Akhbar El Yom" newspaper that more than 2000 workers are deprived of their right to be appointed as permanent workers and of their delayed dues.

The employee who complained to "Akhbar El Yom" website said that the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company’s workers, in Gharbia, receive the lowest wages and incentives at the subsidiary level, despite their efforts to contribute to the company's progress and their belief in the importance of the drinking water and sanitation facilities for every citizen.

The workers ask the members of the board of directors to appoint the temporary workers, who have passed several years of work in the company, as well as the receiving of their dues.
