Morocco : Registry clerks protest against the composition of the joint body of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and the Ministry of Justice

Registry clerks held many protests in Moroccan courts on Thursday against the composition of a joint body between the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and the Ministry of Justice.

The protesters demanded that the review of their basic system, expressing their refusal of the way the joint body has been dealt with, as it excluded more than 70% of the judiciary’s human resources.

The Democratic Judiciary Union, in a previous statement, asked for a comprehensive review of the clerks’ body work conditions, in order to protect them and to protect the justice from any form of temptation or pressure through the establishment of a promotion model similar to the judges’ model, the suppression of the fifth grade and the increase in the basic wage. It also demanded the integration of the graduated without any condition and a thirteenth month of salary like the other judiciary workers.

In addition, the Union asked for overtime payment and special personal indemnities.
