Moroccan authorities launched a mass wave of arrests among Sub-Saharan migrants in the district of Nador, transferring them abroad buses from the coastal cities to inland cities to prevent them from immigrating illegally.
Local sources affirmed that these transfers from northern cities to the city of Azilal provoked the anger of inhabitants who refuse to see their city host hundreds of migrants for the violence and excesses this may bring, according to them. This anger has risen when, last Thursday, a large number of migrants were transferred from coastal regions to Azilal.
