As many of railroad workers have been asking for, the Egyptian National Railways opened the door for early retirement.
Doctor Mohamed Hussein, the Human Resources Director in the railways declared to Akhbar Alyaoum Portal website that according to the Article 70 of the Civil Service Law, any railways worker can benefit from the early retirement starting from the age of 50 and get their dues from the fellowship fund, the end of service allowance and the bonuses of 5 years of salaries.
He explained that if the worker retires at 55, he’ll benefit of 65% of his dues from the fellowship fund, a salary of a month for every year worked; the minimum for an early retirement pension is 20 years of work in the railways, except for some specific jobs for which early retirement is not possible to avoid lack in the work crews.
There are conditions for the early retirement, such as the health condition and not having a post that can impact the society.
