According to the Jordanian Trade Union Monitoring website, Al al-Bayt University decided to dismiss a number of daily workers, forcing them to launch a strike on June 18, asking the university’s presidency to withdraw its decision.
In this regard, the President of Al al-Bayt, Adnan Al-Atoum said that the daily workers’ system does provide a permanent work, noting that the university, in order to communicate with the local community and contribute to solving the problem of unemployment, has hired a number of employees of both sexes for 12-14 days a month for 11 dinars per day.
The protesters have been affected by this, especially since most of them support their family.
