A member of the Labour Force Committee in the House of Representatives, and the Secretary General of the Trade Union of Egyptian Workers, Mohamed Wahab Allah, called for the amendment of Article 42 of the Trade Union Law No. 213 of 2017.
He considers that the duration of the trade union session for the levels of the trade union organizations should be five years instead of four, starting from the date of the announcement of the election of its board of directors at all levels in the official events. This should also include the elections of the elected members of the board of directors, according to the Egyptian media.
