The professors of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Faculty of Dentistry and a group of professors from various institutions in Casablanca launched on Friday 14 June 2019, a protest rally in solidarity the dismissed professor doctors by the Minister of National Education, Said Amazazi.
The protesters in front of the headquarters of the University of Hassan II in Casablanca raised banners and slogans condemning the layoff of the medical professors Ahmed Belhous, Said Amel and Ismail Rmouz, and condemning this arbitrary and unfair decision against them.
The professors decided also to boycott all the pedagogical activities including the students’ exams, competitions and the thesis’ supervision. The professors expressed in a statement that they are keen on "saving the university year and keeping the escalation, in case of any developments”
