The General Federation of Iraq Trade Unions, Basra subsidiary, accused the relevant municipality of being the only responsible for the death of the two brothers, yesterday, while they were cleaning a sewage sink in Shatt Al-Arab area.
The federation stated that it had previously asked the Basra Municipality Directorate to provide the necessary occupational safety equipment for workers, in this sector, in order to preserve their lives, but these repeated requests were just ignored.
