The official spokesman of the General Organization for Social Security, Mousa Al-Subaihi, highlighted that the new amendments included in the reformed system of the insurance coverage system cancelled the requirement of including the insured in more than one social security, in case of working in more than on establishment.
He explained that if the insured works in a public sector establishment and another private sector establishment, his inclusion in the public sector establishment shall be approved regardless of his wage and the date of his employment.
In the same context, the Jordanian Labour Observatory website pointed out that in case the insured is employed in more than one establishment in the private sector, he should be covered by the first establishment in which he started working and in case of his employment in the same date in both establishments, he is covered by the establishment with the highest wage.
In the case of the insured works in more than one public sector establishment, the guarantee shall be included through the establishment in which the work started, if the dates of his employment are different, and through the establishment in which the wage is higher in case he joined both establishments at the same date.
Al-Subaihi explained that the institution includes the coverage of the insured, who works in more than one establishment, through the insuring the work injuries, according to the executive instructions that will be issued by the board of coverage later. He pointed out that the rights of the insured, who has been covered in a double manner will be settled, in accordance with the comprehensive insurance scheme, in case the addressing of his problem has not been already settled. The settlement of the problem includes the payback of the amounts paid twice to the insured persons to ensure old age, disability and death upon request, in accordance with the comprehension rules that have been clarified and in accordance with the work procedures and mechanisms issued by the foundation.
