Last Wednesday, the Ministry of Labour organized an inspection campaign, which resulted in the seizure of 110 illegal migrants, who violated the labour law.
The campaign included markets, shops and some establishments that employ illegal migrant workers. Thus, legal measures were taken against the employers and migrant workers, who will be deported soon, according to the head of the Inspection Directorate.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Labour carried out 94451 inspection visits in 2018, which resulted in the deportation of 7146 illegal migrant workers, who were subjected to forced labour, miserable working conditions, and who have been victims to blackmail by their employers, in most cases.
