Jordan's Labour Observatory said that the General Union of Seaports and Clearance’s Workers signed, yesterday, a joint labour agreement with IBM TERMINALS Jordan, which availed 224 workers within the "Flexible" system.
The agreement between the company and the workers stipulates the termination of the fixed term contract signed between the company and the workers, and the signing of a new indefinite employment contract with the workers covered by the provisions of the agreement.
Moreover, the agreement stipulates that the company will establish a social solidarity fund within sixty days from the date of the signing of the agreement, granting the workers covered by the agreement a housing allowance of 125 dinars, starting from next month, as well as an annual increase related to the workers’ productivity and efficiency that has to be determined by the company.
