The workers of the Egyptian Company for Spinning and Weaving in Mahalla Al-Kubra stopped their strike, which started on Wednesday in protest against the non-payment of their salaries and delayed bonuses, as it was scheduled to be disbursed by a deadline on the 5th of May, as well as the non-payment of the one month and a half reward that was scheduled be spent, before the month of Ramadan, in addition to last years’ 15-day profit.
According to the Center for Trade Union & Workers Services’ Facebook page, the workers reached an agreement with the administration, where the latter will pay a reward estimated at a month and a half of the salary, and schedule the date of the salaries’ payment, to be on the 10th and 25th May.
With regard to last years’ 15-day profit, the company will spend it on four instalments every fifteen days.
