The Ramallah Municipality announced that it will ban full work in the construction workshops from midnight until 6 am. The excavation and construction times were also set for Ramadan from 7 am to 4 pm.
The mayor of Ramallah justified this decision by saying that the work takes place in neighbourhoods and that this will bother citizens who have school and work, the next day.
Therefore, the time for working in the construction workshops was restricted and even banned at night (starting from midnight), so that citizens can rest and sleep the usual way.
Regarding the implementation of this decision, the municipality’s inspection section will inform the workshops’ owners by this decision, in cooperation with the police.
The workers in construction workshops usually work during the holy month of Ramadan at late hours at night, so that they can fast during the day without doing hard work.
