The National Executive Office of the National Union of Resident Physicians of the Trade Union Confederation of Productive in Algeria condemned the oppressive methods employed against the peaceful demonstrators of last Friday, 12 April 2019, confirming the peaceful movement by the people and valuing the growing civilizational awareness of the Algerian citizens.
The National Union stated in its statement, about the participation of its members and practitioners in the people’s movement from its beginning, through volunteer medical teams, who are ready to help, intervene and provide assistance and first aid when needed, in support of the popular movement. Moreover, it called on all the physicians to stand against all attempts to marginalize and exploit this category, which play an important role in all the major hospitals of the country.
The National Union of Resident Physicians stressed its defence on their moral and financial rights, as well as the important and sensitive daily issues, in addition to the political and popular issues, regardless of any political or ideological trend. Moreover, it highlights its trade union values, including struggle, constructive dialogue, which have almost disappeared in many labour circles.
