The National Office of the National Union of Education, affiliated with the Democratic Confederation of Labour (CTD), announced its rejection of all the laws, decrees and measures aimed at destroying the public education and eliminating the educational workers’ gains and rights in all categories. It stressed in a statement issued after its meeting held on Friday, April 19 at the union headquarters in Casablanca, Morocco's need for a comprehensive reform that would improve the current system. In fact, the union’s statement states that " Free public good education for everyone plays, in fact, a scientific, cognitive and civilized way forward development ".
The National Office considered that the proposed draft law 51.17, presented before the parliament is one of the destructive tools, calling for a sectoral, responsible and productive dialogue that would lead to the effective treatment of the various files of the educational groups.
The National Office stressed that the National Union for Education insists on the integration of the teachers, who were forced to work by the Basic Law of the Ministry of National Education and the Basic Law of the Public Service, renewing its rejection of the " forced work” as “ a tool to deteriorate the sector and strike the social, professional and psychological stability of the workers. "
The union's statement called for the acceleration in the creation of a unified, fair and just system and an incentive that promotes " the gains and rights, and meets the workers’ demands and expectations.”
The union also condemned the oppressive approach in dealing with the legitimate protests and the restriction of the right to strike through illegal detentions, highlighting its rejection of all these illegal measures that violate the right to strike and protest.
The National Office expressed its rejection of the continued absence of the educational unions from the administrative boards of academia, which makes the legality and credibility of its decisions questionable.
