The judicial follow-up to the officials of the Democratic Confederation of Labour (CTD) continues. In fact, after what happened with the parliamentarian, Abdel Haq Hissen, a member of the confederation’s of the Council of Counsellors, who was sentenced by the Court of First Instance in Rabat on 27 March 2019, in a political case, with six months of imprisonment and a fine up to ten thousand dirhams, the trade union leader Mr. Abdullah Rahmoun, appeared before the court of the Court of First Instance in Agadir on the eighth of this month in the "Holiday Service" case.
Rahmoun, a member of the Executive Office of the Central Union of Trade Unions and the General Secretary of the local union in Agadir, was present before the Court of First Instance in Agadir, from 14 December 2015 to the 8th April session. Based on an opening article, filed by the defence of the Moroccan dairy company, Al-Duha, submitted in the court of First Instance in Nizgan on 22 October 2015, the Deputy Chief of the Court of First Instance in Agadir ordered the precautionary reservation of Rahmoun’s apartment, for the benefit of the Moroccan dairy companies, Al-Duha. Rahmoun was informed of this decision by the judicial commissioner in Agadir on 16 December 2015 and that the company asked for 300 million centimes from the Executive Office, based on fake allegations made by the defence in its arguments.
Thus, the owner of the company, who committed a flagrant breach of the Labour Code and violated the customs, labour codes and human rights, expelled hundreds of workers without being disturbed by the local and regional authorities, as well as the labour unions. He is trying in vain to undermine the Democratic Confederation of Labour (CTD), which is empowered by the law and the constitution, just because Rahmoun asked the company to stop all forms of abuse and to stop the restriction on the freedom of the trade union work. Moreover, he stressed as the official of the confederation's local federation to open a serious and responsible dialogue with the management of the company and to provide workers with all the financial and moral rights, as stipulated in the Labour Law.
