The Algerian authorities arrested the Trade Union Confederation of Productive Forces’ leader Ben Zein Suleiman, last Monday, from "Tikrit" city, and took him to the public prosecutor of the "Tikrit" court, using a sentence in absentia issued by the court of Oran by a three-month imprisonment, following a complaint filed by the security and prevention company.
It is worth mentioning that the security and prevention companies are represented by its three directors, who have carried out a heinous campaign against the trade union leaders because of their support of the popular movement. The campaigns of intimidation against the trade union leaders continue by those who are trying to include the judiciary, police and gendarmes in their fight against the trade unionists, especially with the confederation’s announcement to enter in a general strike next week, starting on 07 April 2019, in support of the people’s demands.
