The workers of” Afrique Travaux” company started protest vigils, yesterday, in front of the Ministry of Equipment, the Tunisian company for highways and the social headquarters of the company, in different barns, including the road in the Ezzahra area.
These protests took place because of the deteriorating social situation within the company, as the workers did not receive their dues, including from the production grants, wages and the retroactive effect of the increase in wages. In addition, the tension and unstable situation may affect the future of the company, as a result of the customers’ non-payment of their debts such as the Ministry of Equipment and the Tunisian company for highways, which made the company unable to maintain its equipment and pay the workers workers’ dues, whose number exceed 1 000 permanent and temporary workers.
