The Jordanian Labour Observatory revealed that 15 workers at the phosphate factory in Al-Aqaba threatened to commit suicide on Sunday from the factory's top chimney to protest against their non-appointment.
Dozens of employees of the phosphate company (the industrial complex) in Al-Aqaba entered into strike to ask for their permanent appointment in the company. In fact, they have been working for more than seven years on the contracting system without appointment.
