Dr. Saleh Al-Shaikh, the chairman of the Central Organization for Management and Administration of Egypt, said that the Cabinet approved in its meeting on 6 March the proposal submitted by the authority to amend Article 189 of the Executive Regulations of the Civil Service Law issued by the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1216 of 2017, which stipulates before the amendment that the workers receive the salary according to their posts.
It has been approved that the article should be amended so that the workers would receive the full payment for the re-appointment or the previous full salary, whichever was greater. Moreover, the workers who received a higher qualification before or after the provisions of the Civil Service Act No. 81 of 2016 would also benefit from that amendment. The remuneration of the reappointed employee should be in accordance with the provisions of Article 76 of the Civil Service Law effective from 2 112016.
The law specifies the duration of the settlement (three years from the date of the law enforcement).
