Southern Yemen's judges partly interrupt their strike

The Southern Yemen's judges have announced that they partly interrupted their strike which has continued since two months for only one month, to decide on numerous pending issues in response to citizens' appeals.

The judges' club emphasized in a statement that their partial suspension of their strike will begin starting from Sunday and for one month only. The judges are expected to assume their functions on Monday and Tuesday of each week.

The club threatened using other escalation options in case the Superior Council of the Judiciary sustains over its intransigence and indifference.

It is worth noting that the tribunals and prosecutor's offices in Aden and neighboring provinces stopped working two months ago due to the strike. The judges' club asked for adjusting the judges' salaries  with their ranks, providing  them with health insurance as well as protecting them.
