The members of the general federation for social affairs, associations, solidarity and the union’s general secretaries of the association of disabled persons and its branches warned to take all forms of escalatory struggle in case the Ministry of Supervision continued to not deal seriously with the suspended demands and adhered to the policy of procrastination.
In a statement they expressed their dissatisfaction with the Ministry of Social Affairs and their deep resentment, regarding their disregard and the non-adherence to its commitment for the benefits of the sector, despite the successful general strike on January 24, 2019. However, the Ministry of Supervision was not serious and continued the policy of procrastination.
They called on the Ministry of Social Affairs to structure the sector of disabled-people associations within the general system of the ministry, in accordance with the spirit of Chapter 48 of the constitution in the form of a public institution with financial and administrative independence.
They also called for the activation of all the provisions of the agreement related to the retroactive effect, like the management grants, occupational classification, seniority, and promotion.
The unions of the sector stressed the need to accelerate in the increase of wages for 2016 and 2017 with its retroactive effect, in addition to provision of the grant of production for 2018 at time and the activation of the financial agreement concluded in the private sector in 2018 and 2019. Moreover, their provision with the retroactive increase in the wages of March 2019, in addition to the expedition in the provision of social security for the third triennium of 2018 and the disbursement of the financial dues for the second batch retroactively, as well as, the filling of vacancies, especially with experts.
On the other hand, these workers complain about their non-classification according to their educational level and diplomas, which aroused a great resentment among them, calling for their rights and their employment according to their professional competencies.
